The studio and gallery for Art Glass By Mathews and the GlassPutter.com Gallery are located at the Glass Hut in Branford, Connecticut. Ray Mathews, Jr. and his staff welcome visitors to experience the fascination of glassblowing and to personally test the glass golf putters on the mini putting green! Glass blowing classes and workshops are now available on an ongoing basis at the Glass Hut! For additional information, the latest schedule, and space availability:
The Glass Hut is open to the public:
- Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Sunday from 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m.
- Other times by chance or by appontment
Ray Mathews, Jr. is in his glass studio just about every day! ...please feel free to stop by any time and/or to telephone for an appointment (203-488-9707).
DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE GLASS HUT:
Coming NORTH on I-95 (the Connecticut Turnpike) FROM NEW HAVEN, take Exit #53 (Short Beach-Branford.) At the exit ramp at the light, take a LEFT into the Rotary. At the 2nd light, take a right onto Main Street; then take the 2nd right onto North Harbor Street (Richlin Plaza on LEFT) and follow it down to where the road bends. On your right is the GLASS HUT.
Coming SOUTH on I-95 (the Connecticut Turnpike) TOWARDS NEW HAVEN, take Exit #54 (Cedar Street-Branford). At the exit ramp at the light, take a LEFT onto Cedar Street. At the light (Route 1), go straight and follow Cedar Street to the end to Main Street. Take a RIGHT onto Main Street; and at the first light, take a LEFT (Kirkham Street); then take the 1st RIGHT (Elm Street). Go to the end where it bends = the GLASS HUT (59 North Harbor Street).
